My how times have changed,I find that some of the things that I use to love are not as appealing to me anymore. We all have had that moment, when the awakening is just beginning; when you get a fresh look at people, places and things in our life that just don’t seem to fit anymore. I remember loving McDonald’s fries and their apple pies, loving those orange slice candies and hanging out all night with friends. But, for some reason my taste changed, those things just don’t have the same appeal like they use to.
Remember your first crush, that person was the bomb to you then. Now taking a look back, you wonder what in the world you were thinking. I can’t do anything but giggle about that. It seems that as we grow into who we are, not considering age, but who we are as a person. We learn to take a fresh look at our lives and do some inventory of the pantry of our lives. As we do an inventory and clean the pantry, we may find that there is no longer a need for those ole stale outdated nuts or fruit cocktails in our lives any more. Maybe we want something more filling, with some substance like rice, beans or vegetables, there comes a time when you have to do your own upgrade.
Solution:
Learn to let go of people, places and things that don’t have meaning in your life anymore. Find what motivates and support you in your life and dreams. Ask your self, “What and who the muses are in your life?”
Imagine having to carry around a 25lb bag of rice every where you went. Now true enough this bag of rice is harmless, and may not be that heavy to you, and, you may not even mind carrying it. As a matter of fact it has become a part of you; you have accepted that it has become your job to carry the rice around!! Well, since you have carried the 25lbs around so much, its become second nature for you to carry this weight!! You actually, really forgot that you were carrying it. So off you go lugging this 25lb bag of rice every where you go.
But what if you let it go? Just stopped carrying it. Once you put the bag down, you are able to see the shift in your weight and you feel lighter. Wow, you did not notice the lighter side of riding your self of the weight, until you finally put it down.
Get rid of the dead weight that is holding you down! In other words wake up, why would you need to carry extra things with you that you don’t need? Forgive, and let go of the shame, the weighted relationships, the need to always be right or perfect, people, and the need to please. Put down what ever it is, that is weighting you down.Keep out dated things out of your lifes pantry, only feed on things with a good expiration date!!
