Press Pause!

Have you ever felt like you were at a stand still? That life seems to have you on hold from getting the things you want or feel that you need? My Grandmother use to tell me that delays are God’s way of slowing us down, and preparing us to deal with what we asked for. She would then say “Be careful of what you ask for, because you just might get it!” This would make me wonder, why ask for something and then worry about if I will get it? Although this process of questioning my self would often delay my decision of getting what I asked for right away. The positive side was that the delay helped me to weed through the things or situations I did not want, and moved me to go for the things I did truly have a desire for.

As adults we most often have our own ideal of what we should have or what we feel is due to us. In asking our selves the question of “What do you really want?” the time it takes to get a sincere answer could mean the difference in jumping in having something blindside us or being prepared and aware. Sometimes there is a clear answer and other times we just assume this would be the best thing for us. But taking that pause can be very beneficial in preventing us from making a mistake. Making a decision about any thing can be very stressful; sometimes making a decision about simple things can put us in to frenzy and lead us to go back and forth with our selves about nothing. Understand that pausing can give us a chance to regroup and reap the rewards of being happy. So pause, breath, pray, think, move, recieve a clear answer and then, go get what you need.
Love, Peace N Much Respect!
