You Become What You Think About!

I was reading the book of The Secret, and in this chapter it spoke about how we draw to us the very thing we don’t want by talking, dwelling and thinking about what we don’t want. Well this effect as in anything has an opposite, that if you dwell and talk and imagine the things you do want you will attract them. I often think about the things I want most, but a big part of me, sometimes think about the negatives. Although I am working on training my mind to change those negative thoughts to positive, it is a true task to stay in the now and not let out side distractions deter you.

Dr. Wayne Dyer, is another author that I admire, he often tells a story about living in an orphanage. Now this life path to some is very devastating to think of a child being given up by their family. But some of our most influential people have come from this existence. Dr. Dyer told the story of a young girl name Mary that arrived at the orphanage where he was staying, Mary’s first day was devastating to her, and she cried and cried as her family dropped her off. The house mother called Dr. Dyer to help console Mary, the thing I found most interesting is that he told her to stop crying, that they were going to have so much fun, because there were no parents to tell us what to do!! You are totally free. Mary instantly stopped crying and started laughing! The key to this story is the way you think about a situation is the way it will turn out. If you change you thinking you can change your life!

We all have issues about things in our life, which we acknowledge or may want to change, so we constantly look at it everyday and either criticize it or accept it. For example, we may not like something about our bodies, our hair, our jobs, our clothes etc.
When you are getting dressed in the morning do you find your mind focusing any of these subjects, job, and hair or on the body part that you would like to change? Understand that those self talked mornings resonate through out your day and place an order to the Universe to attract that feeling of dissatisfaction, or upset. The early morning self talk is very important to the start of your day. So if you had a bad night, try not to carry the upset in to your next day. Keep your self in a positive mode, if you can’t find anything positive in your situation right now, then switch your thoughts to something’s that you may be grateful for, water, food, family, nature, breathing etc.

By changing your thoughts, you can change your life!
