To Thine Ownself Be True!
Making the Big Commitment!
We all go through a period in our life where we want to be committed to someone or something. To belong to, or become a part of, or be spoken of for something that has a meaning. All of these aspirations are awesome and indeed a noble cause, to have the desire to be a part of something bigger then your self. But, the real commitment starts internally with your self. There is no amount of anything that you can purchase, get from anyone, or artificially develop to take the place of the commitment that you make to your self.
We can easily get caught up in the hype of saying what sounds good to our selves or our peers. The real test comes when we are actually doing what we say we want for our selves. Although making a commitment to our selves seems fairly easy because we are suppose to love and honor our selves. It’s very common to have a false sense of self care when the goals and promises you make are easily broken, or pushed back for something outside of your self.
If you are wondering why it seems hard for others to commit to you, or be loyal, stop and take a look at your self and see if you are honoring your self with loyalty and commitment. In my research of the Law of Attraction it states that to attract something you have to feel as though you have it already. These processes sometimes feels silly or unreal in most cases, but know that our mind is a powerful tool and that our thoughts are manifested through our actions and words. So, make no contradictions to your self or conflict you will get. If you are having headaches, backaches, earaches or even toothaches, know that something you are doing or saying is truly contributing to some form of contradiction in your life.
In Louise Hay’s book called “You Can Heal Your Life” it states that every thought has a link to a physical ailment. Being a singer, I often suffer with throat problems or problems with my ears, I was sure this was caused by excessive use of my voice. I later found out that although my singing voice is clear, I often don’t speak up clear for myself, and did a poor job of honoring my voice when I was upset about something. I realized that I would hold my speech, in fear of hurting people feelings. Also the trouble with my ears was that I was listening to way too much of others problems and issues and not clearing away the negative vibes that were being deposited in to my spirit.
Understand that self must be taken care of. I have to remind myself daily that although I always feel like I am fine, I need to go with in and do a check to see what my spirit is saying it needs. This sometimes required me to shut my self critic down, and not allow my insecurities to bagger me about anything in my life. Make a commitment to your self first to love and honor your self. Be good to your self.
