Why Is This Happening?

Why is this happening?

Distraction is a major cause of procrastination, though it is possible to be diligent and still diverted from what is valuable. According to philosopher Damon Young, distraction is chiefly an inability to identify, attend to or attain what is valuable, even when we are hard-working or content. There are times when I just can’t seem to get anything done! I feel like I am spinning my wheels, and I am far from reaching my goals.

So here you are there are things that you know you must get done or you need to get done and Boom! Something out of the blue comes up to take your attention away. Here is a very likely example, a phone call from someone that wants to tell you their drama or business, or trying real hard to get in to your business. (Distraction) You go to the mail box and out of the blue, there is a unexpected bill, or letter or something to occupy your mind from whatever it is you’re needing to do (Distraction). Make note, all things that happen are not considered distraction, but I believe, there is a force that is constantly working to get in your way and control your focus.

The test is how true you stay to your goal or project, learning to keep being in peace. Work on controlling your emotions and taking the time to analyze what is going on in your day. Trying to fit to many things in to your day can create chaos and confusion which can be a big distraction. If your having the day from hell, just stop find a quiet space, your car, your closet, the bathroom stall at work. Take a few really deep breaths and ask yourself “What?” “What is it that I need to be doing, what is it that is happening right now in this moment?” Deal with the moment.

You can’t control how others react to you or if they are doing things that affect you, but you can retreat and handle yourself accordingly. If you are having crazy mornings, getting to work late, kids moving slowly, take some time to plan the night before and get up thirty minutes early so that you can set the pace for your day. God has given you the authority to manage, take it and get in control!
Love, Peace and Much Respect!
