Where Do I Begin to Make Changes?

I was watching Oprah yesterday, and her guest was Will & Jada Smith and family. Since I am a lady of leisure for now, I do try and get some Oprah in every now and then. Lol, Well, what I found very interesting is how the family operated and talked about how successful they were as a family unit, each brining something to contribute to a larger family vision, goal and mission. The most interesting comment was that Will & Jada said they conduct their family lives and their marriage as though they are managing a business.

There are so many of us that could use a little management in our daily lives. We have become so accustom to allowing our lives to dictate to us what we are going to do each day. As a hamster on a wheel we go round and round in our daily routine without paying much attention to if what we are doing is making a difference in our lives. Surely our creator has more in store for us then the routine that we have created for ourselves. I am not saying that fanfare should be our daily expectation, but the thought of something more should always be right on the tips of our tongues. The time of taking our selves, family and love ones for granted is over, there is so much more to life than just surviving.

I know that times are difficult and there are a few of you that think money is the hold back in your life, either having it or not having it has been a quest or the reason for your hold back. But, life moves forward if you have money or not. It takes nothing to go to the park, sit outside in your back yard and appreciate the sky. Wake up early on Saturday and watch some cartoons, or make breakfast for a few friends and laugh for a change, go to the movies, rent a movie and pop some popcorn and just enjoy it. Get out of your routine, let your window down when driving or let the window up in the house and allow God’s breeze to come through.

If you have kids, stop for a sec and just have a conversation about whatever is on their minds. You would be surprised the stuff they worry about. Surprisingly you will find that they are such extensions of ourselves so they pick up our energy and act out what they see us going through or what we are doing. So if you are tense, then you can bet, your child is feeling it.

Sit down and make yourself a schedule of your day, figure out how much are you getting done and if not much, then figure out what would make you happy to do! When you feel accomplished you have more pride and self worth in your life. Let’s get some things done; I am with you on this journey.
Love, Peace and Much Respect!
