Learning to surrender is not giving up your will, but trusting and allowing the process to return your gift of being faithful! Some find it hard to wait; they want instant gratification and attention, moving on their own accord, only to be disappointed, after finding that it was all a facade. Might you put in some work, pray, trust him and activate your faith to get the real deal the first time around?
We are off to the races!
The horses are at the gate and they are released! The fast sure bet makes it out of the gate in record time, so you think “Yep, I am putting all my money on that one, their quick, showy and eager to win this race!” But slowly just when you have placed all you have on the sure bet, it seems it began to change its stride. The chosen one expected to win, starts pulling back, stumbling, running wildly, not keeping the pace like it was predicted. Then up comes another more stable striding horse, this horse has a strong posture, steady stride, it’s gallop is deliberate more sturdy, more sure.
You never paid attention to this horse, because you were so excited about the sure bet. So you watch and wonder where this horse was and why it was not pegged as a sure bet? As your pick begins to slow down and fall behind in the race, people are shocked confused. This horse was pegged to win!
All while the stable horse continues to keep it’s same stride, not even looking to the left or right just moving within its lane making all the turns with ease, only to win the race. Sometimes we allow the enemy to sell us his roster sheet of what he thinks is a sure bet, all shiny attractive and new is very exciting, but so disappointing.
God may not be as flashy, he is not trying to temp us with shiny counterfeit things. He is more interested in the permanence of our foundation and developing our future. So he allows us the freedom to place our bets in hopes that we use what he has instilled in us, wisdom and faith to make the right choices. It’s time to understand that fanfare is not always the way to go, look at the big picture, make more deliberate choices for your life, this race was set for you to win, only if you make the right choices! Sometimes you will lose, but if you look on to him he will teach you how to truly find your sure bet~ GIA
Merry Christmas!
