What’s Missing?
There are occasions in life that you may just feel antsy, like there is something missing. You can’t quite put your finger on it but, you know that there has got to be something better then what you are experiencing in your life right now. It’s as though you have no clue as to what this feeling is, if asked “What is wrong?” you would not have an answer. Sometimes this feeling is often described as being tired, worn out, or sick of living. Many people go through this quietly because they don’t want anyone to know that they are feeling this emptiness. There is often a feeling of silliness about this feeling, as you go down the line of what you do have and that you should be grateful for.
What is causing this feeling?
I believe that when you are not as one with your spirit as you should be, that it will give you a feeling of longing or wanting. We all have voids that come up in our lives to help us learn. These voids are there to get us to move or take action in our lives.
This feeling of unease can not be filled with things. Although shopping or eating or what ever you maybe doing may distract you and give you the feeling of comfort the feeling still creeps back in. This feeling can’t be filled by another person, again you may be distracted by having someone in your life but this will not dissipate the reoccurring need.
How To Make it Better?
Your spirit is your personal indicator to your emotions. This is your source and it have to be taken seriously. If you are in or around negative situations then your spirit will adapt to the situation. Causing you to feel down or negative about your self or what you are in.
Take Notice of what you are doing each day to recharge your self. (quiet time for reflection, write in your private journal, make goals to do something peaceful that you enjoy… walk in the park, message, sitting by water, lake, ocean.. will allow your spirit to breath. Have a healthy prayer life, conversations with the creator daily will help to release negative feelings and allow a refreshing of the spirit.
When the feeling come what can I do?
• Just stop! Stop doing what ever you are doing for a few minutes and get in to your mind and think about peace.
• Count to your self or repeat an affirmation
• "I am at peace with my soul and covered by the holy spirit”
• Drink some cool water, this will make you literally slow down and allow you to hydrate your self which will give you the feeling of being in control
• Rest, we are a busy society and, we take sleep and slumber for granted, when you are physically tired you are not allowing your spirit to have the proper vessel to live in.
• Do something different, take a different route home, Pick or buy your self some flowers!
• Find things that inspire you, listen to music that you like, go to the book store, go look at your dream home or that dream car that you have been wanting. Find peace in living and calm the restless feeling!
