Are you prepared to take the blows that life can dish out?
In an instant your whole life can change, it only really takes a moment for change to come. With in that moment your circumstances can become better or worse. I had a fluke accident happen to me the other day! I was sitting in a chair minding my own business and a heavy ceiling tile landed on top of my head! I was dazed and wondered how could I have attracted such a thing? I was in an excellent mood that day things were going my way and I felt great! But out of the blue, I get popped in the head. I thought about how lucky I was to come out with out a bruise and that this situation could have been really bad, as hard as it hit me. But I was fine, came out with out a scratch, just dazed and confused. I would like to think that my Angels were there to cushion the blow.
In our everyday lives we will receive unexpected blows, so be aware of what they are they come as employment changes, births, deaths, fires, loss, gains, health, happiness and sadness. All of these are seasons which come and go in our lives; they are blows to our emotions and our lives regardless of good or bad. But if you rely on the creators promises and know that you are not alone, then you too will have a cushion for your blows. Understand that sometimes things happen to get our attention.
I laugh when I think about how my Mother and Grandmother use to refer to me as hard headed; well I take that label literally. Sometimes you may have something going on in your life that feels like it fell out of the sky, which you were not expecting or aware of that will not only get your attention but it will make you take a seat in shock or excitement or knell down to pray.
I think it’s how you take your blows that determine if you come out bruised or just a little dazed. Boxers are known to cover up when jammed in to corners of the ring, to cushion their blows. As the fighter that is throwing the punches to the cornered fighter, began to tire, the cornered fighter has reserved his strength as he was taking the blows to eventually come out of the corner swinging! So, take cover do the ole rope- a-dope and eventually the blows will lessen and during that time catch your breath and come out swinging!
As I was driving worrying about if I was going to have a knot on my head the next day, I realized that this was just enough force to get my attention. This let me know that each moment is to be lived not to be waiting for something to happen to me, but to start making things happen in my life. I always say a little chant every morning I say “Something good is going to happen to me today” It did, I woke up!
Love, Peace N Much Respect!
